ResponsibilitiesNew Employee Hiring & OnboardingPartner with the Dir. of People & Finance Ops to support core hiring & onboarding processesPost job descriptions and applications and coordinate distribution and advertisingManage candidate communications, interview scheduling, and support initial screeningSupport hiring teams with applicant tracking, interview logistics, and resourcesOrganize and coordinate new employee onboarding tasks and deadlinesContribute to a positive, thoughtful experience for applicants and new employeesEmployee ExperienceServe as a second point of contact for basic HR-related questions, in addition to the Dir. of People & Finance OpsAssist with communication around benefits administration, policy updates, and complianceManage internal employee feedback form responsesPartner with company leadership to organize and implement employee recognition programsCoordinate catered lunches, snacks, etc. for all-team meetings and other special eventsSupport with the annual staff party, social club events, and team relationship buildingOffice & Operational SupportMaintain physical office inventory & supplies, serve as point of contact for staff needs, and collect & organize receiptsCollaborate with the team to keep shared spaces organized, clutter free, and comfortable Coordinate with external cleaning and IT service providersCoordinate with landlords regarding basic facilities maintenance and needsSupport the Dir. of People & Finance Ops in distributing all-team information and noticesOpportunities to contribute to cross-functional projects and tasks in the event of company growthQualificationsRequiredHigh emotional intelligence and strong interpersonal skillsAbility to prioritize, problem-solve, and work proactively with light guidanceComfort with versatility and adapting to changing needsStrong organizational and prioritization skillsStrong written and verbal communication skills with internal and external partnersProficiency with Microsoft Word, Excel, and Google Workspace appsDiscretion in handling confidential personnel and financial informationSkilled at learning new concepts and processesAbility to stand, walk, and move about in an office settingAlignment with GGG's values: think critically, own it, be a team player, be kind, be clear, embrace change, and work hardBonus Points!Demonstrated passion for the outdoorsExperience in a small business settingFamiliarity with general HR complianceFamiliarity with HRIS and payroll platforms such as GustoPrior experience in an HR, people operations, or office management roleExperience creating and implementing clear processes and resourcesCompensation, Benefits, and Scheduling$23.50/hour, paid electronically every other FridayAccrue paid time off at the rate of .08 hours per 1 hour workedPotential for future eligibility for company sponsored 401(k) planStaff discounts on GGG products$250 annual gear stipend for GGG products at retail priceIndustry pricing for many brands via Outdoor Prolink, IPA Collective, and ExpertVoiceDiscounted monthly membership at Minneapolis Bouldering ProjectDiscount at Angry Catfish Bicycle ShopGGG works with individual employees to determine a weekly schedule that meets both the employees and the businesss needs Garage Grown Gear is committed to fostering an inclusive and equitable workplace.
