The successful candidate must possess a well-rounded accounting background and experience, along with strong analytical and general ledger knowledge. The primary responsibilities will be to perform all detailed general ledger accounting functions and analysis for all channels. This is a Columbus, OH office-based position.Essential Duties & Responsibilities:The Senior Accountant's responsibilities include, but are not limited to:Performing the day-to-day activities related to the monthly, quarterly and annual closes:Initiating journal entries by compiling and analyzing account informationPreparing accruals associated with key accountsPreparing monthly income statements and balance sheetsReconciling and analyzing balance sheet and income statement accountsPartnering with FP&A to perform close activities and review/understand key drivers of the resultsLiaising on Accounts Payable and Accounts Receivable mattersHelping to implement and enforce accounting policies and best practicesHelping prepare and consolidate various ad hoc analyses, reports, and data requestsYou are someone who …Enjoys working in a growth/start-up mindsetCan fill gaps where needed and run into open fieldAspires for continuous improvementStrives to figure out and implement best practicesTackles special projects between the busy periodsYou must have …BS in Accounting required; MBA a plus, CPA or individual sitting for the CPA Exam preferred3-5 years of accounting experience with progressive growthProficiency working in Microsoft Office, particularly ExcelAbility to interact with all levels of the organizationStrong time-management skills, and ability to adhere to tight deadlines during the month-end close processStrong analytical and detail-oriented backgroundMicrosoft D365 experience a plusRetail experience a plus
