SUMMARY:

The Parent Engagement Coordinator is responsible for building meaningful connections with current and prospective families while strengthening engagement within the Stoler Early Learning Center and the broader JCC community. This role leads the development and implementation of J Parent programming, serves as a liaison to the Family Association and other community partners, supports ELC events and social media, and helps guide prospective families through the inquiry and tour process. Working collaboratively with the ELC leadership team and other JCC departments, the Parent Engagement Coordinator creates opportunities for families to connect, engage, and build lasting relationships with the JCC.

WHO ARE YOU:

• Bachelor’s degree preferred, or equivalent combination of education and relevant experience.
• Experience in family engagement, early childhood education, community programming, nonprofit programming, event planning, admissions, or a related field preferred.
• Strong interpersonal and relationship-building skills, with the ability to connect with families, community partners, staff, and prospective families.
• Experience planning, coordinating, and facilitating programs, events, or community engagement opportunities.
• Strong organizational and project management skills, with the ability to manage multiple priorities and follow through on details.
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
• Ability to work independently while also collaborating effectively with a team.
• Experience using social media and creating engaging content for families and community audiences.
• Comfort using technology and database or CRM systems to track inquiries, communication, participation, and other program information.
• Experience managing budgets, tracking expenses, and/or grant-funded programming preferred.
• Ability to collect feedback and use data to help inform programming and engagement strategies.
• Demonstrated ability to provide welcoming, responsive, and high-quality customer service to current and prospective families.
• Flexibility to work occasional evenings and weekends for programs, events, and community engagement opportunities.
• Knowledge of or interest in Jewish community, culture, and family engagement is preferred.
• Must be CPR and First Aid certified or have the ability to obtain and maintain CPR and First Aid certification within three months of employment. Medical administration certification is also required for all school leadership.

WHAT WILL YOU DO:

Specific duties include but are not limited to:

J Parent

• Develop, implement, and manage Jewish parent education programming at the JCC funded by the Tepper Foundation.
• Represent the JCC in the Tepper Grant Community of Practice.
• Facilitate parent engagement opportunities and research program ideas based on parent feedback and engagement.
• Develop, coordinate, and facilitate programs, including Parent Night Outs, workshops, ELC extension events, and cohorts. These events are held on nights and/or weekends.
• Contract with and collaborate with a Jewish educator to develop meaningful Jewish content for events and programs.
• Maintain financial records to track grant spending and develop detailed program budgets.
• Administer surveys and use data and feedback to inform programmatic decisions.
• Collaborate with the Chief Program Officer on reporting and other requirements related to the Tepper Foundation grant.
• Collaborate with other JCC departments to enhance programming, recruit participants, and develop programs as needed.

Family Association Liaison

• Serve as the liaison to the Family Association and facilitate ongoing connections and engagement with ELC families.
• Collaborate with the Family Association co-chairs to develop a calendar of meetings, prepare meeting agendas, and identify class champions for each classroom.
• Coordinate meeting logistics, including ordering food, tracking RSVPs, and arranging child care during parent meetings.
• Support Family Association parent volunteers in leading fundraisers and actively market and promote fundraising efforts within the school community including Dinner Nights Out and
• Coordinate secular school-wide events that foster ELC community engagement, including but not limited to the Sneak Peek and Back to School Breakfast, Bagels on the Biblical: A Mitzvah Morning, Dreidel Shop, Scholastic Book Fair and GRAND Friends event, and the End-of-Year Picnic.

Social Media

• Manage the ELC social media page, including content creation, planning, and posting a minimum of three times per week.

Connector Liaison

• Meet regularly with the ELC Connector to coordinate Connector events and programming within the ELC.
• Meet with The Network to ensure the ELC is meeting the requirements and expectations of the Connector program.

Admissions Liaison

• Represent the ELC at community events to help connect with and recruit prospective families. These events could be held on nights or weekends.
• Follow up with prospective families who inquire about the school and manage tour inquiries through Playground.
• Facilitate the scheduling of school tours and communicate with prospective families before their visit.
• Welcome families upon arrival for their tour and connect them with the Assistant Director or Director conducting the tour.
• Follow up with prospective families after their tour and support ongoing communication throughout the admissions process.
• Coordinate back to school events for new families.

PHYSICAL SKILLS AND WORK ENVIRONMENT:

The work environment is typically loud and fast paced. This position requires high energy and positive interactions with staff, parents, members, other agency employees, community leaders, and outside partners, vendors, and others.

The role involves frequent use of a phone and computer, as well as physical activities such as reaching, stooping, kneeling, and crouching. The employee must have the ability to lift, carry, and/or move children or other objects at up to 50 pounds and engage with children by sitting on the floor with them.

This role requires spending extended periods of time outdoors, on your feet each day in a variety of weather conditions. Must have the ability to move across the campus to address emergency situations.

COMPENSATION AND BENEFITS:

Salary (or Salary Range): $40,000 - $42,000
