Bring your awareness, integrity, and commitment to safety to a role where protection meets service—and where your actions directly support shrink reduction, operational excellence, and a secure shopping environment.Main responsibilities:Maintain a visible presence to support a safe and secure store environment for customers, associates, and vendors while delivering excellent customer serviceMonitor checkout areas and review exception reports to identify fraud, associate dishonesty, and ensure compliance with cash handling policiesConduct surveillance throughout the store to detect theft, safety risks, and operational issuesApprehend individuals committing theft in accordance with company policies and applicable laws, ensuring safety of all partiesRespond to electronic article surveillance (EAS) alarms and investigate incidentsMonitor receiving and storage areas and conduct delivery audits to detect vendor fraud and ensure procedural complianceConduct inspections and audits related to shrink control, safety, and physical security standards; document and communicate findingsMaintain and operate asset protection equipment, including CCTV, EAS systems, and alarm systemsConduct investigations as directed, including thorough documentation, and partner with store leadership and law enforcement as neededTrain and communicate with associates on loss prevention, safety, and compliance practices while identifying and addressing unsafe conditionsWe are looking for candidates who possess the following:Soft skills:Strong customer service mindset with ability to remain calm and professional in high pressure or confrontational situationsExcellent observation and attention to detailStrong communication and interpersonal skillsSound judgment and decision making abilityAbility to work independently and as part of a teamCompetencies:Shrink reduction and loss prevention executionSurveillance and incident detectionInvestigations and documentationSafety compliance and risk mitigationPolicy adherence and operational auditingKnowledge:Company loss prevention policies and proceduresBasic understanding of legal requirements and law enforcement interactionCash handling practices and POS transaction reviewSafety, compliance, and operational standardsAbilities:Strong situational awareness with the ability to quickly assess and respond to safety or security concernsAnalytical thinking to identify irregular activity and interpret POS or operational dataSkilled in documenting investigations clearly, accurately, and professionallyComfortable operating, maintaining, and troubleshooting surveillance and security equipmentCapable of remaining alert and engaged during extended periods of standing or walkingResponds effectively and decisively in emergency or high?risk situationsTravel requirements: NoneOther requirements: Flexible availability including nights, weekends, and holidays; ability to work varied schedules; reliable attendance; adherence to company safety, loss prevention, and conduct policiesWe also provide a variety of benefits including:Competitive wages paid weeklyAssociate discountsHealth and financial well-being benefits for eligible associates (Medical, Dental, 401k and more!)Time off (vacation, holidays, sick pay).
