Job Details Job Location: South County Academy - Exeter, RI 02822 Position Type: Full Time Education Level: 4 Year Degree Travel Percentage: Up to 25% Job Shift: Any Position Summary As part of a multidisciplinary team, the Nurse will provide healthcare services to students and staff, promote overall wellness, and ensure a safe and healthy school environment. This role involves managing student health needs, responding to emergencies, and supporting physical and mental well‑being throughout the school community. The Nurse will lead the development and ongoing management of culturally competent, comprehensive, individualized care plans with each youth, assess families with behavioral health and/or substance use needs, and provide treatment and referral services. The Nurse provides medical case‑management oversight and consultation for South County Academy programs, assures compliance with agency and state/federal medication supply storage and disposal procedures, prepares and executes student group curricula promoting healthy lifestyles and public health education, provides emergency crisis interventions and assessments as needed, and offers clinical treatment to clients. Qualifications Bachelor’s degree in nursing (BSN) and RN licensed in the state of RI Experience working in a residential healthcare setting, preferably in care management Experience with children, adolescents and adults from diverse social, cultural and ethnic backgrounds Skilled operating various medical record software and hardware, word-processing and database software programs Spanish speaking preferred and compensated Excellent multitasking and communication skills a must Ability to work independently and as part of a team Bilingual/ASL skills are compensated by an additional 6% above base pay Multilingual skills are compensated by an additional 8% above base pay Physical Requirements Current driver’s license, reliable transportation, registration and auto insurance Ability to communicate effectively Travel to community locations and office site, including use of walkways, stairs and/or elevators Ability to lift up to 20 lbs Provide emergency coverage as required by the programs Must be able to work remotely and in person adhering to PHI requirements Benefits We offer a comprehensive benefits package that includes health, dental and work‑life benefits.
