Job Responsibilities

• Perform thorough patient assessments including physical examinations and detailed medical history reviews
• Assist in diagnosing surgical conditions via imaging and laboratory results interpretation
• Work jointly with surgeons in crafting and implementing individualized surgical plans
• Offer critical assistance during surgeries by preparing the operating rooms, ensuring effective patient positioning, and managing the handoff of surgical instruments
• Provide excellent pre-operative and post-operative care, including administering medications, managing wound care, and supporting discharge planning and patient education

Education Requirements

• Master's degree from an accredited Physician Assistant program
• Clinical rotations with a focus on surgical practices strongly preferred

Certification and Licensure

• Current and unrestricted certification as a PA-C
• Certifications in BLS and ACLS
• State licensure or eligibility as a Physician Assistant
