Interim ED Manager

Interim ED Manager – Atlanta, Georgia Start Date: ASAP. Pay Rate: $160,000 – $170,000 annually. Responsibilities An interim ED Manager is needed to provide operational and clinical leadership for a high-volume Emergency Department and EDICU. Reporting to the Director, this leader will oversee approximately three direct reports and approximately 200 FTEs. Key responsibilities include leading daily Emergency Department operations, driving improvements in patient quality outcomes with a focus on STEMI, stroke, and sepsis initiatives, enhancing patient satisfaction, improving employee engagement and staff satisfaction, optimizing department throughput and patient flow, supporting the expansion of the EDICU, collaborating with physician and interdisciplinary leadership, and fostering a culture of accountability in a high-volume, fast-paced environment. The ideal candidate will have previous Emergency Department leadership experience in a high-volume acute care setting, with Level I trauma experience strongly preferred. Experience working within a collaborative triad leadership model is highly desired. Must be highly organized, patient-focused, and able to adapt quickly to changing needs. Excellent communication skills will be critical. Must be available to start within 2–3 weeks of acceptance. Qualifications BSN required; Master’s degree preferred. Active Georgia RN license and ACLS certification required; CEN, TNCC, and PALS certifications preferred. Five or more years of progressive Emergency Department leadership experience required, including managing large teams in a complex acute care environment. Experience with Epic EMR and improving throughput, patient quality outcomes, and staff engagement is preferred. Compensation Base compensation range: $160,000 – $170,000 annually. Final compensation will be determined based on experience, education, training, location, internal equity, and budget considerations, and may be adjusted in the future.
