This travel assignment places you in a health care setting focused on recreation-based treatment programs for individuals with disabilities, injuries, or mental health conditions. You will plan, direct, and coordinate therapeutic recreation services designed to promote engagement, functional skills, and well-being.

Responsibilities
- Plan, direct, and coordinate recreation-based treatment programs for individuals with disabilities, injuries, or mental illnesses.
- Deliver therapeutic recreation services using diverse techniques, including arts and crafts, animal-assisted activities, sports, games, dance and movement, drama, music, and community outings.
- Assess patient needs, implement individualized activity plans, monitor progress, and document outcomes to inform care teams.
- Collaborate with interdisciplinary team members to integrate recreation therapy into overall treatment goals and ensure safety and client engagement.
- Adapt activities to participant abilities, promote participation, and modify interventions to maximize therapeutic benefit.
- Provide education and instruction to participants and caregivers as appropriate.

Requirements
- Ability to work a day-shift schedule (8 hours per day, 5 days per week)
- Demonstrated interest or experience in recreation-based therapy for behavioral health populations
- Ability to collaborate with a multidisciplinary team and document clinical observations
- Willingness to participate in a travel assignment and adapt to a new care environment
- Capacity to follow applicable safety, regulatory, and clinical guidelines in a therapeutic setting
