Senior Manager, Supplier Strategy and Management, Devices

Gilead Sciences seeks a Senior Manager to oversee supplier strategy and management for device components across the product portfolio. This role involves strategic relationship management, performance monitoring, risk mitigation, and cross-functional collaboration with internal teams and external suppliers.
Responsibilities
- Serve as primary business contact for supplier relationships, capacity planning, and long-range strategy
- Monitor and escalate supplier performance issues; lead annual business reviews and risk assessments
- Prepare, review, and track RFPs/RFQs/RFIs in consultation with functional stakeholders
- Develop and execute portfolio strategies; negotiate agreements and conduct site assessments
- Lead cross-functional meetings, provide team training, and support product commercialization needs
Requirements
- Bachelor's degree with eight years of experience, or Master's degree with six years, or PhD with two years
- Experience managing outsourced development, manufacturing service providers, or direct material suppliers
- Knowledge of GMP regulations and 21 CFR parts 11, 210, 211, 820
- Proficiency with ERP systems and project management software
- Strong negotiation skills for contractual agreements
- Ability to lead cross-functional teams and manage complex problems
- Experience in pharmaceutical, biotech, or relevant manufacturing environment
