Quality Assurance Specialist

Gina Group is an industry‑leading wholesale fashion apparel and accessories company specializing in design, manufacturing, and distribution to retail markets. Categories include footwear, hosiery, cold weather, intimate apparel, handbags, small leather goods, tech accessories, home goods, and more across a multitude of national brands. Gina has been supplying retail markets with kids, juniors, misses, and men’s products for over 35 years and continues to keep pace with the ever‑changing retail landscape. Role and Responsibilities For all brands and accounts, during development stage, check in PPS samples by weighing, fitting, and measuring samples. Label all samples with any issues and communicate this with PD. PD will communicate with factory along with any product comments. For all stock styles, during put‑up approval stage (fake PS stage), review packaged samples alongside packaging designer. Review for correct put‑up, correct packaging quality and artwork, swift tack and hook placement and type. (Product is stand‑in and may not be 100% correct). Confirm packaging is properly secure to the product to avoid any issues at retail. Follow up as needed with factory to ensure comments are understood and followed. For customer cut‑to orders, put‑ups are reviewed as they come in, following SOP protocol established by sales. Some go to buyer and some are approved internally. For all brands and accounts, during production stage, check in TOP samples ensuring style matches approved PPS samples, including color, dimensions, execution, pattern/texture, quality, etc. Review any deviations with designer to see if it’s acceptable. Review packaging to make sure it is correct. Communicate directly with overseas partners regarding comments or approval. Follow up as needed with factory to ensure comments are understood and followed. Communicate with sales and customers on customer specific TOPs. Review customer vendor guides to ensure customer TOP is compliant and samples are sent following the customer’s protocol. Work within customer portals as needed. For all customer orders, create and maintain a sample requirement library for each customer. Keep efficient record tracking information of any TOPs shared with customers and ensure the TOP is received by the customer. Follow up as needed for customer comments and share comments with vendors. After POs are placed, packaging artwork is sent by packaging team. When proof comes back, it must be checked for artwork by packaging team, and checked for legal and logistics info by QA. Refer to PO for information and communicate with factory approvals or comments. When physical packaging labels arrive, they must be checked for quality, thickness, and correct artwork. Use a product milestone report. Monitor packaging and samples that are due to be received. Follow up with factory to ensure packaging and samples are being sent on time. Record when packaging and samples are received, and when comments have been made. Help ensure deliveries on time. Share details with production when delivery is in jeopardy. Organize all paperwork, physical packaging labels and samples for future reference in an efficient and organized way. Monitor all emails internally and externally to ensure efficient communication. Manage all sourcing samples, send them out to the factory as requested, enter into PLM, communicate to factory, and keep an organized record when samples arrive. Perform other related duties as assigned by management to support the department’s business needs. Qualifications Minimum of 2+ years’ experience. Associate or bachelor’s degree preferred. Excellent written and verbal communication skills. Must have superior organizational skills and excellent attention to detail. Experience using a pantone book. Must be able to multitask and work in a collaborative environment.
