Assistant Project Manager - Commercial Construction

The Assistant Project Manager - Commercial Construction will:

1. Assist Project Managers with project execution from preconstruction through closeout.
2. Manage RFIs, submittals, change orders, project logs, and documentation.
3. Support project scheduling, procurement, and subcontractor coordination.
4. Review plans, specifications, and project requirements.
5. Coordinate communication between project teams, owners, architects, and subcontractors.
6. Participate in project meetings and occasional site visits.
7. Assist with project budgeting, cost tracking, and reporting.
8. Help ensure projects remain on schedule, within budget, and meeting quality standards.

A successful Assistant Project Manager - Commercial Construction should have:

• Degree in Construction Management, Architecture, Engineering, or related field preferred.
• Alternatively, 3+ years of experience as a Project Engineer, Project Coordinator, or Assistant Project Manager (experience in Madison or Milwaukee preferred but not required)
• Basic understanding of commercial building and construction processes and project delivery.
• Strong communication and organizational skills.
• Ability to work independently while collaborating effectively with project teams.
• Experience within healthcare, commercial, industrial, or renovation projects is a plus.
• Exposure to construction software and project management systems.
