Position Summary Store Manager In Training (SMIT) is a development-focused role designed to prepare you for a CVS Store Manager position. The 16-week program includes self-paced, collaborative training with both virtual and hands‑on learning experiences. Key Responsibilities Communicate effectively with team members, providing clear verbal and written communications. Perform customer care duties to deliver high levels of service. Execute merchandising strategies to support store sales growth. Manage store inventory and assets to maintain profitability. Expectations for SMIT Participants Engage actively with your leader through Key Learning Experiences, supporting your path to promotion. Act as a management‑team member and lead in a manner consistent with CVS values and policies. Engage colleagues to support the company’s purpose of helping people on their path to better health. Be willing to accept promotion roles within the market you work in. Qualifications Willingness to accept promotion to Store Manager at any location in the designated market. Ability to transfer to other CVS Pharmacy stores within the designated market. Ability to work a schedule that may vary based on business needs. High school diploma or GED is required. Bachelor’s degree is preferred; relevant work experience may be considered in lieu of a degree. Retail management experience or experience as a CVS supervisor is preferred. Pay and Benefits Typical pay for this role ranges from $18.50 to $23.88 per hour. The actual offer will depend on experience, education, geography, and other factors.
