Manager, Corporate Accounting

The Manager, Corporate Accounting, reports to the Sr. Director, Asst. Corporate Controller and leads the Corporate Accounting team. This role oversees a Senior and Staff Accountant to deliver timely, accurate, and compliant accrual‑based accounting under US GAAP. The Manager is responsible for operational execution, process improvement, and team development, while fostering collaboration across the broader accounting organization. Responsibilities Lead and manage the monthly close process for all Corporate entities, ensuring accuracy, completeness, and adherence to reporting timelines. Oversee general ledger activity and ensure timely preparation, review, and integrity of balance sheet account reconciliations. Develop, coach, and mentor senior and staff accountants, including performance management, career development, and succession planning. Partner closely with Corporate FP&A to support monthly financial reviews, analyze results, and provide actionable insights to leadership. Collaborate cross‑functionally with departments across the organization to gather critical accruals and ensure accurate financial reporting. Identify and drive process improvements, standardization, and automation across teams to enhance efficiency, scalability, and controls. Ensure compliance with internal policies, accounting standards, and SOX/internal control requirements. Qualifications Bachelor’s degree in Accounting or Finance required Five years of experience in month‑end close accounting is required Proven knowledge of GAAP Strong Excel skills are required Prior managerial experience is preferred Working knowledge of Workday or other ERP platforms is a plus A team‑player attitude that demonstrates a willingness to help on ad‑hoc projects Initiative and desire to take ownership of projects and function with a high‑level of autonomy and discipline within a fast‑paced and growth‑oriented environment Position is located in office in Nashville with 4 days a week in office Essential Competencies Detail‑oriented with strong written and verbal communications skills.
