Competitive Gymnastics Coach (DP & Xcel)
Oak City Gymnastics - Raleigh/Durham, NC
Oak City Gymnastics is a growing program seeking a Competitive Team Coach. to support and develop athletes across DP and Xcel levels.
We are looking for a coach who is passionate about athlete development and interested in being part of a program that values structure, consistency, and long-term growth.
While experience with DP Levels 6–10 and/or Xcel upper levels (Diamond/Sapphire) is preferred, we also welcome candidates with strong developmental coaching experience who are looking to grow into higher-level coaching.
Responsibilities
- Coach competitive gymnasts in DP and/or Xcel programs.
- Lead structured practices focused on skill development, strength, flexibility, and routine preparation
- Provide clear, constructive feedback to athletes
- Ensure athlete safety through proper spotting and supervision
- Collaborate with coaching staff to support athlete progression and team goals
- Communicate effectively with athletes, families, and staff
- Attend and coach at competitions (local, regional, and national as applicable)
- Assist with additional groups or levels as needed
Qualifications
- Experience coaching gymnastics (competitive and/or strong developmental background)
- Knowledge of skill progressions and technique
- Ability to safely spot skills appropriate to assigned level
- Reliable, professional, and team-oriented
- Strong communication and organizational skills
- USAG certification (or willingness to obtain)

Schedule
- Evening weekday hours (primarily 4:00pm–9:00pm)
