Role Description The Practice Manager is a full-time, on-site role based in Natomas, CA, responsible for overseeing daily operations of a pediatric dental practice. This role includes managing staff schedules, supervising front office and clinical support teams, and ensuring efficient patient flow from check-in to check-out. The Practice Manager monitors practice performance metrics, supports revenue cycle processes such as billing and collections, and ensures compliance with organizational policies and regulatory requirements. Day-to-day responsibilities also include responding to patient and family concerns, coordinating with providers and central support teams, maintaining inventory and office supplies, and fostering a positive, inclusive workplace culture. The Practice Manager is expected to lead by example, support staff development, and contribute to continuous improvement of patient experience and operational efficiency. Qualifications Experience in healthcare or dental practice management, including oversight of daily operations and staff supervision. Strong skills in scheduling, workflow coordination, and patient service to ensure a smooth and efficient practice environment. Knowledge of basic financial processes such as budgeting, billing, collections, and reporting within a healthcare setting. Ability to interpret and apply compliance, privacy, and safety standards relevant to dental or medical practices. Excellent communication, conflict resolution, and relationship-building skills with patients, families, and team members. Demonstrated leadership abilities, including coaching, performance feedback, and team motivation in a fast-paced environment. Proficiency with practice management or electronic health record systems and general office software (e.g., email, spreadsheets). High school diploma or equivalent required; associate or bachelor’s degree in healthcare administration, business, or a related field preferred. Prior experience in pediatric or family-focused healthcare settings is beneficial.
