Payroll AdministratorWe are seeking a meticulous and dedicated Payroll Administrator to oversee payroll operations and ensure compliance with state and federal regulations. This role involves processing payroll for both exempt and non-exempt employees, entering and reconciling payroll data, and managing benefits, tax withholdings, and expense reimbursements. The ideal candidate will have a strong attention to detail and the ability to work in a dynamic and fast-paced environment.ResponsibilitiesProcess payroll for exempt and non-exempt employees, ensuring accuracy and compliance with state and federal regulations.Reconcile payroll data discrepancies and enter benefits, tax withholdings, and reimbursement data accurately.Review and process expense reimbursements in a timely manner.Utilize Excel and typing skills to manage payroll data efficiently.Collaborate with team members and supervisors to ensure seamless payroll operations.Maintain a high level of customer service and results orientation in all interactions.Essential Skills3-4 years of relevant experience or a combination of education and experience.Proficiency in PC applications, Excel, and 10-Key typing at 35 WPM.Strong organizational and time management skills to handle multiple tasks and meet deadlines.Excellent interpersonal skills with the ability to build respectful and collaborative relationships.Ability to analyze situations accurately and adopt effective courses of action.Additional Skills & QualificationsExperience in payroll processing within a non-profit or union environment is a plus.Proven ability to work under pressure in a high-paced environment.Self-starter and team player with a high level of integrity and accountability.Work EnvironmentThe role is situated in cubicles within an open concept office alongside a team of four payroll professionals. The standard workweek is 35 hours, with 7-hour workdays. Upon transitioning to a permanent role, employees enjoy excellent benefits, including medical, dental, 401K, and pension plans.
