This position serves as a primary point of contact for customers, supporting order fulfillment, resolving issues, and contributing to customer satisfaction and profitable growth.Key responsibilities include:Process customer orders accurately and efficiently across multiple order channels in real timeServe as a primary point of contact for customers, providing timely information on orders, pricing, products, and deliveryCoordinate with Operations, Sales, and Purchasing to support order fulfillment and issue resolutionIdentify customer needs and recommend appropriate products, order adjustments, or promotions within established guidelinesTrack and resolve order exceptions, backorders, and delivery deviations while keeping customers informedBuild and maintain positive customer relationships through professional, responsive communicationMaintain accurate and up-to-date customer account informationAssist with basic sales support activities, including identifying cross-sell or upsell opportunitiesComplete administrative tasks, documentation, and reporting accurately and on timeFollow all safety, regulatory, and operational policies and proceduresRequirements:High school diploma required; bachelor's degree or equivalent experience preferred2+ years of experience in Customer Service, supporting customers face to facePreferred experience in chemical distribution, specifically in pool and spa suppliesStrong verbal and written communication and active listening skillsAbility to prioritize, multitask, and work effectively in a fast-paced environmentCustomer-focused mindset with basic problem-solving skillsComfortable using computers, keyboards, and standard business software (e.g., Microsoft Office)Basic math skills related to pricing and quantity calculationsAbility to work independently and collaboratively within a teamWillingness to learn Lynde products, services, and industry fundamentalsAbility to sit for extended periods and, depending on location, lift up to 50 lbsWillingness to work in environments that may include warehouse settings, temperature variation, and potential exposure to hazardous substancesWhy The Lynde Company?At The Lynde Company, we believe our people are our competitive advantage.
