We are looking for a creative, enthusiastic, and trend-savvy Social Media Marketing Intern to join our Marketing team. 

In this role, you will support social media content creation, influencer marketing initiatives, and campaigns across platforms with a focus on Rednote. You will gain hands-on experience in developing engaging content, identifying emerging trends, and connecting with Yami's target audiences. This is a great opportunity for someone passionate about social media, content creation, and Asian food, beauty, and lifestyle trends.

• Assist in planning, creating, editing, and publishing engaging content across Yami’s Chinese social media channels, particularly on Rednote
  

• Create short-form videos, photos, Reels, Stories, and other social media content featuring Yami's products and campaigns.
  

• Stay up to date with social media trends, viral content, trending audio, and platform features to identify creative content opportunities.
  

• Support the social media content calendar and ensure content aligns with marketing campaigns, seasonal trends, and product promotions.
  

• Help monitor audience comments, messages, and engagement to build positive relationships with Yami's online community.
  

• Assist in developing creative concepts, video scripts, captions, visuals, and short-form video content through both manual creation and AI-powered tools. 
  

• Support the planning and execution of social media campaigns to increase brand awareness, engagement, and customer acquisition.
  

• Assist in researching and identifying relevant influencers, content creators, and potential brand partners on Rednote.
  

• Help coordinate influencer outreach, product seeding, content deliverables, and campaign timelines.
  

• Collaborate with internal teams to develop creative social media content that supports marketing campaigns and product launches.
  

• Brainstorm fresh content ideas and campaign concepts to engage existing customers and attract new audiences.
  

• Research social media trends, competitor activities, customer interests, and emerging content opportunities.
  

• Monitor social media performance metrics, including views, engagement, reach, follower growth, and content performance.
  

• Assist in preparing basic performance reports and identifying opportunities to improve future content.
  

• Provide creative suggestions based on audience feedback, trending topics, and performance insights.
  

4. Yami Student Ambassador Program & other Marketing Support

• Assist in recruiting, onboarding, and coordinating student ambassadors across college campuses.
  

• Support the student ambassador program, offline events, and Other marketing tasks as assigned.
  

• Currently pursuing or have completed a Bachelor's degree in Marketing, Communications, Business, Digital Media, or a related field, or a recent graduate.
  

• Strong interest in social media marketing, digital content creation, and influencer marketing.
  

• Familiarity with Rednote and current social media trends.
  

• Experience creating and editing short-form videos, photos, or other digital content through coursework, personal projects, or previous internships.
  

• Familiarity with content creation and editing tools such as CapCut, Canva, Adobe Creative Suite, or similar platforms is a plus.
  

• Excellent written and verbal communication skills in English and Mandarin
  

• Fully Onsite M-F in the Brea office/ in offline events
  

• 40 hours/ week, 3-month term with the possibility to extend/ transfer to a full-time position
  

• Creative, detail-oriented, organized, and eager to learn.
  

• Ability to manage multiple tasks, meet deadlines, and collaborate with team members.
  

• Interest in Asian food, beauty, lifestyle products, and pop culture is a plus.
