Job Summary and Qualifications Responsible to follow hospital and AAMI standards and policies as related to cleaning, decontamination and processing of surgical instrumentation and patient care equipment performed in the Central Sterile Supply Department. Participates in unit Performance Improvement projects. Assumes weekends, on-call, holidays and shift responsibilities as assigned. Maintains education through attendance of all mandatory in-services and self-study. Maintains education through unit in-services. Attends staff meetings. Responsible for the day-to-day flow of the department. Supervises all technician staff members. Actively participates in staff counseling and evaluation process of staff. What qualifications you will need: 2 years previous Central Sterile experience required (CSPDT) Cert Sterile Processing and Distribution Technician, or (CRCST) Certified Registered Central Service Technician Education: Certificate in Sterile Processing.
