Registered Nurse (RN)

We are seeking a skilled Registered Nurse (RN) to join our team. The ideal candidate will be responsible for delivering high-quality patient care in a dynamic environment. This position requires working night shifts, as well as weekends on an as-needed basis.

Key Responsibilities

• Provide comprehensive nursing care to patients across multiple medical surgical (MS) floors.
• Monitor patient conditions, administer medications, and collaborate with interdisciplinary teams.
• Float to different units when necessary, including those specializing in cardiac care, stroke, and post-surgical rehabilitation.
• Maintain effective communication with patients, families, and healthcare teams to ensure optimal patient outcomes.
• Assist in managing cases related to occasional stable open heart surgery patients transferred from ICU.

Schedule Requirements

The position involves a night shift schedule of 3x12 hours (7 PM to 7:30 AM) and may require weekend shifts and holiday work as needed. Candidates will be expected to work on major holidays if the contract extends over these periods.

Qualifications

• Minimum of 2 years of nursing experience is required.
• Current ACLS and BLS certifications are mandatory.
• Experience with EPIC charting system is strongly preferred.
• Ability to care for a wide range of patient diagnoses, including but not limited to CHF exacerbations, respiratory illnesses, strokes, and general surgery.
• Experience in a community hospital setting is preferred.

Additional Requirements

Candidates should be comfortable caring for COVID-19 patients if necessary. The facility maintains a tobacco and fragrance-free environment. Please inform travelers prior to submission regarding this policy.

Orientation and Training

Travelers will receive one day of orientation before taking assignments.

Patient Care Information

• Daily census typically includes around 30 patients.
• Staffing is supported by an interdisciplinary team, including physical therapy, respiratory services, and social services.
• Patient care is primarily focused on adults and geriatrics.
