Duties Description Psychologists at BPC collaborate with an interdisciplinary treatment team to provide individualized treatment to achieve individuals’ treatment goals and objectives and ensure continuity of care. Conducting psychological evaluations, interpreting psychological tests, and diagnosing psychological disorders. Developing and revising treatment plans, interventions, and programs. Conducting and/or supervising individual, group, and family psychotherapy sessions. Maintaining records and documentation consistent with regulatory requirements. Providing supervision and mentorship to doctoral level practicum students and Psychology interns as needed. Eligibility & Compliance Must not be listed as an excluded individual or entity on any of the Federal and/or State Medicaid and Medicare exclusion lists (or excluded from any other federally assisted program). May be required to become an enrolled Medicare provider, obtain and provide a National Provider Identifier (NPI) number, and otherwise actively participate to the degree necessary to allow services to be billed through Medicare and Medicaid. Eligible candidates will undergo background investigation, including checks against the Staff Exclusion List, Criminal Background Check, and the Statewide Central Register of Child Abuse and Maltreatment; relevant fees may apply. Minimum Qualifications Possession of a license and current registration to practice psychology in New York State. Additional Comments Background Investigation Requirements: Prospective appointees will be checked against the Staff Exclusion List, investigated through a Criminal Background Check (CBC), and screened against the Statewide Central Register of Child Abuse and Maltreatment. Each case will be determined on its own merits, consistent with applicable state and federal laws, rules, and regulations.
