Dining Associate

Part-Time Dining Associate – Roanoke, VA The Dining Associate is responsible for providing food service to residents under sanitary conditions, assisting in all dietary functions as directed, and maintaining open communication and established procedures as directed by your supervisor. Responsibilities Prepare beverages for residents. Assist with delivery of food items to residents when needed. Clean and sanitize all areas in the dining room and back‑of‑house areas such as stock rooms, employee bathroom, and chemical storage areas. Operate as dishwasher as needed. Correctly and safely operate kitchen equipment and utensils for food preparation, service, and cleaning (e.g., dishwasher, disposal, refrigerator, freezers, carts, serving utensils, blender, coffee makers, toasters). Serve meals for breakfast, lunch, or dinner based on menu selected items. Abide by facility policies and procedures as well as laws and regulations related to food safety and sanitation. Serve meals to residents according to individual diet lists; ensure meals are complete and processed per diet orders (e.g., puree diets). Qualifications High school diploma or equivalent. Food service experience preferred. Position is very active and requires standing, walking, bending, kneeling, stooping, and crouching all day.
