Phlebotomist-Client Office

Labcorp is a global leader in diagnostic testing and drug development solutions. We are looking for a Phlebotomist to join our team in Columbus, GA. Work Schedule: Monday – Friday, 8:00am – 5:00pm (1‑hour lunch). Saturday shifts may be required on an as‑needed basis. Phlebotomist will work in either a Patient Service Center or a client office. In this role, you will provide exceptional customer service, perform skilled specimen collections, and be the face of the company. Job Responsibilities Perform blood collections by venipuncture and capillary techniques for all age groups. Collect specimens for drug screens, paternity tests, alcohol tests, etc. Complete data entry of patient information accurately and in a timely manner. Process billing information and collect payments as necessary. Prepare collected specimens for testing and analysis. Maintain patient and specimen information logs. Provide superior customer service to all patients. Perform administrative and clerical duties as needed. Travel to additional sites when required. Minimum Qualifications High school diploma or GED or equivalent. Completed Phlebotomy certification or training program. At least 2 years of experience as a phlebotomist. At least 2 years of consistent clinical experience in a hospital or physician office/lab setting. Preferred Qualifications 4 or more years of phlebotomy experience. Additional Job Standards Phlebotomy certification must come from an accredited agency. Proven track record in providing exceptional customer service. Strong written and verbal communication skills. Ability to work independently or as part of a team. Comfortable working under minimal supervision. Reliable transportation. Flexibility to work overtime as needed. Ability to pass a standardized color‑blindness test.
