Phlebotomist-Client Office

Labcorp is seeking a Phlebotomist to join our team in Columbus, GA. Work Schedule: Monday - Friday 8:00am - 5:00pm with 1-hour lunch break; Saturdays may be included. Job Responsibilities Perform blood collections by venipuncture and capillary techniques for all age groups. Collect specimens for drug screens, paternity tests, alcohol tests, etc. Perform data entry of patient information accurately and in a timely manner. Process billing information and collect payments as necessary. Prepare all collected specimens for testing and analysis. Maintain patient and specimen information logs. Provide superior customer service to all patients. Perform administrative and clerical duties as necessary. Travel to additional sites when needed. Minimum Qualifications High school diploma, GED, or equivalent. Phlebotomy certification or completion of a training program. Two (2) years or more experience as a phlebotomist. Two (2) years or more of consistent clinical experience in a hospital, physician office, or laboratory setting. Preferred Qualifications Four (4) years or more of phlebotomy experience. Additional Job Standards Phlebotomy certification must come from an accredited agency if not based on work experience. Proven track record in providing exceptional customer service. Strong written and verbal communication skills. Ability to work independently or as part of a team. Comfortable working with minimal supervision. Reliable transportation. Flexibility to work overtime as needed. Able to pass a standardized color‑blindness test.
