This combination of industry and product groups enables the firm to deliver advice, strategies and capital with a universal banking approach to our targeted client high growth, entrepreneurial, middle market companies.Job DescriptionWe are looking for a candidate to fill a Sr. Analyst / Associate position in our Debt Private Placements Group based in New York. This role presents an exciting opportunity to join a new and growing team led by an industry veteran with over 20 years of experience across private credit, hedge funds and investment banking. The recently launched Debt Private Placements Group will partner with Oppenheimers Industry Coverage bankers to raise capital for the firms investment banking clients via the private credit market across all sectors and credit asset classes.The position will serve as a critical member of the team, working directly with the Head of the Debt Private Placements and other senior professionals, as well as cross-functional Managing Directors, Executive Directors, and sector banking teams of all levels on pitches and engagements. The successful candidate will be given significant responsibility in transaction execution.Responsibilities:Lead day-to-day transaction execution under direction of the Head of the Debt Private Placements GroupLead pitch drafting as well as transaction marketing documentsPreparing and reviewing complex financial analyses and modelsPresenting materials internally to senior bankers and externally to clients of the firmExpand and develop client relationships with key institutional investors Liaise with both internal and external parties to expand corporate relationships and drive day-to-day deal processDevelop an in-depth understanding of our sectorsAnalyze and present deal data for senior level management teams and corporate issuersSupport new business and marketing initiatives as appropriateDemonstrate a commitment to the groups success on new opportunities, mandates and overall growthQualifications:2-4 years of experience in Investment Banking, Private Credit, Leveraged Finance, or similar rolesStrong Microsoft Office skills essentialStrong verbal and written communication skillsElevated attention to detail and consistency in work product Ability to work independently as well as within a teamOrganized and proactive FINRA Registrations: Series 63, 79 licenses and Securities Industry Essentials (SIE) Exam required at time of hiring or shortly thereafterCompensation:For job postings in New York City, Oppenheimer is required by law to include a reasonable estimate of the salary range for this role. This salary range is specific to New York and takes into account the wide range of factors that are considered in making salary decisions including but not limited to your skills, qualifications, experience, licensure and certifications, and other business and organizational needs. A reasonable estimate of the current base salary range is $130,000.00 - $180,000.00 at the time of this posting.
