Role Description The Loan Officer role at Guild Mortgage in Chandler, AZ is a full-time, on-site position responsible for originating residential mortgage loans and guiding borrowers through the lending process. Day-to-day activities include consulting with prospective borrowers to understand their financial goals, explaining loan programs and qualification requirements, and assisting with loan applications and documentation. The Loan Officer will coordinate with underwriting, processing, and closing teams to ensure accurate and timely decisions, while maintaining compliance with regulatory and company guidelines. This role involves building and maintaining relationships with customers, real estate agents, and other referral partners, providing ongoing communication, and delivering a high level of customer service from initial contact through loan closing. Qualifications Experience as a Loan Officer or in a similar mortgage lending role, with a strong understanding of loan origination processes. Knowledge of finance and mortgage products, including familiarity with various loan programs and basic financial analysis. Understanding of underwriting principles, risk assessment, and documentation requirements to support accurate loan decisions. Strong customer service skills, with the ability to communicate complex information clearly and build trust with diverse borrowers. Proficiency in loan origination systems and related technology; comfort working with digital applications and documentation. Excellent verbal and written communication skills, attention to detail, and organization in a fast-paced environment. Ability to collaborate with internal teams and external partners, while meeting production and quality goals. High school diploma or equivalent required; college coursework or degree in business, finance, or a related field preferred.
