Community Health Partnership of Illinois (CHP) is a nonprofit organization dedicated to providing high-quality primary and preventive healthcare services to migrant and seasonal farmworkers and other medically underserved populations throughout northern and central Illinois. Our services include medical, dental, and behavioral healthcare, with an emphasis on culturally responsive, compassionate, and accessible care.

Community Health Partnership of Illinois is seeking a dedicated and compassionate Certified Medical Assistant to join our team in Champaign, IL . The Certified Medical Assistant will support physicians and other healthcare professionals in delivering efficient, high-quality patient care.

The ideal candidate will be organized, detail-oriented, and comfortable working in a fast-paced healthcare environment. Candidates should demonstrate professionalism, compassion, and strong communication skills when interacting with patients, coworkers, and healthcare providers.

• Assist healthcare providers with patient examinations, treatments, and procedures.
• Obtain and document patient medical histories, vital signs, and other clinical information.
• Prepare examination rooms, medical supplies, and equipment for patient care.
• Perform routine laboratory tests and clinical procedures within the scope of practice.
• Administer medications as directed by authorized healthcare providers.
• Assist with scheduling appointments and maintaining accurate patient medical records.
• Provide patients with education, instructions, and support regarding their care.
• Maintain a clean, organized, and safe clinical environment.
• Follow all applicable healthcare regulations, organizational policies, and patient confidentiality requirements.
• Collaborate with healthcare team members to support efficient and patient-centered care.

• Current Certified Medical Assistant credential from an accredited program.
• CPR certification.
• Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
• Excellent organizational skills and attention to detail.
• Ability to multitask and work effectively in a fast-paced clinical environment.
• Proficiency in medical terminology and basic computer systems.
• Knowledge of healthcare laws, ethics, patient confidentiality, and professional standards.
• Previous experience in a medical or clinical setting preferred.

Bilingual Spanish/English skills are preferred but not required.
