Details Work in the Emergency Department of a hospital setting Night shift schedule from 1:00PM-1:00AM 12-hour shifts, 3 days per week, 36 hours per week Every other weekend required Rotating holiday shifts required 2 call shifts required per 6-week schedule period, with call shifts lasting 13 hours and an expectation to be onsite within one hour 2-week nights rotation required of all travelers No block scheduling available Uses EPIC EMR system Requirements Active Illinois RN license in good standing required Current BLS, ACLS, and PALS certifications (American Heart Association) required Minimum three years of relevant nursing experience required ASN required, BSN preferred EPIC charting experience required Trauma Level 2 experience preferred TNCC certification preferred Additional Information Serve as the primary caregiver responsible for a designated group of ED patients, utilizing the nursing process and current clinical standards Perform initial patient assessments and develop individualized plans of care in collaboration with providers, patients, and families Implement and modify nursing interventions based on continuous patient evaluation Maintain accurate, up-to-date documentation of nursing care provided Uphold patient and staff safety standards, reporting and correcting hazards as needed Collaborate and communicate effectively with the healthcare team to support a positive, healing environment Provide constructive feedback to peers to support professional development This position is classified as a high-risk department assignment Candidates must reside more than 50 miles from the facility; local candidates will not be considered Requested time off may not exceed 7 total days during the 13-week contract American Traveler Job ID P-716614.
