Here, you can make a meaningful impact on our clients' mission and on your career.Performs scientific work associated with the analytical, statistical, and programming skills to collect, analyze, and interpret large data sets; develop data-driven solutions to difficult business challenges.Investigates, analyzes, and formulates automated search and reporting from the customer environment or enclave.Evaluates, tests, and recommends various AI/ML models and tools, including Cloud based module, third party module and open-source products.Develop user interface and dashboard for search capability as well as reporting and monitoring capability within hybrid cloud environment or customer provided cloud environment.Ensures that cybersecurity plans, controls, processes, standards, policies, and procedures are aligned with cybersecurity standards.Identifies security risks and exposures, determines the causes of security violations and suggests procedures to halt future incidents and improve securityMay coach and provide guidance to less-experienced professionals.Other duties as assigned related to developing data science and AI/ML initiatives.Education: Bachelors of Science Required Experience: 10+ years of related experience Security Clearance Level: Minimum Secret Clearance Travel: Occasional travel may be required Location: Hybrid US Citizenship Required Required Technical Skills:Advanced Python programming skills with strong familiarity with AI/ML modulesProficiency in machine learning algorithmsProficiency in data modeling and visualizationsProven experience as a software developer, particularly with language modelsWorking experience with Windows and Linux development environmentsExcellent communication skills and ability to conduct presentations to various audiences, including senior leadershipMust be able to document design, pseudo codes, and flow chart for review and approvalFamiliarity with Data Science related Mathematics including statistics and probability, linear algebra and calculusKey Responsibilities:Develop AI/ML tool based on customer requirementsCommunicate and work with team members to meet contractor obligationsEngage with customer stakeholders and PMO team on a regular basisLead and devise innovative methods and techniques to leverage AI/ML to improve risk assessmentsProvide input to project planning and weekly reportsDocument design, tool's requirements and user guideSetup and provide tool demos to stakeholdersOwn your career as a Data Scientist at GDIT. This is not, however, a guarantee of compensation or salary. Rather, salary will be set based on experience, geographic location and possibly contractual requirements and could fall outside of this range.
