Sales Operations Analyst — Tariff Cost Recovery
Farmington Hills, Michigan | Contract | 6 Months | On-Site | $30–35/hr

Tariff complexity is one of the hottest pressure points in manufacturing right now — and this role sits right in the middle of it.

A North American manufacturing organization is bringing on a Sales Operations Analyst on a 6-month contract to support tariff cost recovery efforts across their North American sales operations. If you have a background in trade compliance, import documentation, or sales ops finance and you know your way around a 7501 entry form, this is a timely and high-visibility assignment.

What You'll Be Doing

• Gathering monthly component-level tariff impact data from multiple plant locations across North America
• Working with 7501 import entry documents and component invoices to identify applicable tariff types (Section 232 auto and IEEPA structures)
• Completing customer-specific tariff documentation on monthly and quarterly cycles
• Coordinating with plant teams to chase down missing, incomplete, or late data
• Supporting Sales with historical, planned, and paid tariff impact breakdowns — and helping track customer credits for cost recovery

What You Bring

• Hands-on experience with import documentation — 7501 entry forms and component invoices specifically
• Working knowledge of U.S. tariff classifications, including Section 232 and IEEPA structures
• Strong Excel skills for reconciling and compiling financial impact data across multiple sources
• Sharp follow-up instincts and communication skills — this role requires coordinating across plant teams and internal stakeholders
• Detail orientation and the ability to manage multiple deadlines without dropping the ball

The Setup
6-month contract, on-site in Farmington Hills, MI. Hourly rate: $30–35/hr DOE. Benefits-eligible (health, 401k, PTO). Must be authorized to work in the U.S. without sponsorship.
