Job Description & Requirements Specialty: Pediatric PCU - Progressive Care Unit Discipline: RN Start Date: ASAP Duration: 13 weeks 36 hours per week Shift: 12 hours, nights Employment Type: Travel Estimated Gross Weekly Pay: $ 2290.72 Opportunity: RN - General Patient Care Job Details: • Perform comprehensive head-to-toe assessments on all patients and reassessments as per policy, including pediatric, geriatric, and general patient populations • Revise standard of care as indicated by patient response to treatment and evaluate overall plan daily for effectiveness • Formulate teaching plans based upon identified learning needs and evaluate effectiveness of learning, including family as appropriate • Assess and reassess pain management techniques and educate patients and families regarding pain management • Demonstrate ability to perform treatments and provide services to level of licensure • Assist physicians with procedures and perform services requiring technical and manual skills • Communicate appropriately and clearly with Nurse Manager, co-workers, and physicians • Consult other departments as appropriate to provide an interdisciplinary approach to patient needs • Treat patients and their families with respect and dignity while ensuring patient confidentiality • Identify and address psychosocial, cultural, ethnic, and religious/spiritual needs of patients and families • Function as liaison between administration, patients, physicians, and other healthcare providers • Maintain thorough and accurate documentation that meets current standards and policies • Manage and operate equipment safely and correctly • Coordinate and supervise patient care as necessary within licensure • Position requires a quick start availability Facility: This healthcare facility is committed to promoting its mission, vision, and values while delivering high-quality patient care.
