Job Overview:

The Rehabilitation Aide prepares the treatment area and assists inpatient and outpatients in preparation for, during, and after treatment sessions under the direct supervision of a licensed therapist. The Rehabilitation Aide maintains patient safety, assisting with ambulation and transporting patients safely with their medical records, equipment, or devices as needed throughout the facility.

Qualifications:

Required:

• High School Diploma or equivalent
• Active Basic Life Support (BLS) certification
• English fluency and possess good written and oral communication skills
• Able to lift, ambulate, and assist with physical transfers of patients

Preferred:

• Work experience with patients in a healthcare setting.

Scheduling Requirements

• Full-Time (37.5 hours)
• Days

Essential Functions:

• Prepare patient areas and assist therapist with treatment.
• Transfer, ambulate, or assist to transfer patients to wheelchairs, beds, or treatment tables while maintaining safety precautions.
• Maintain the general cleanliness of all rehabilitation equipment, storage areas, and designated environmental surfaces.
• Complete environmental testing and logs per policy or standards.
• Inventory medical/surgical supplies per established schedules and place orders for new inventory.
• Stock/shelve supplies and linen in designated storage treatment areas.
• Perform a variety of clerical duties related to patient care and department administration.
