Project Manager – Global Marketing PMO & Strategic Initiatives
Location: Mettawa, IL\n
Schedule: Hybrid – Tuesday through Thursday onsite; Monday and Friday remote\n
Contract Duration: 6 months\n
Pay: $84-$88/HR based on benefit selections\n
 
Orion Group is seeking an experienced Project Manager to support global marketing initiatives, business transformation, and strategic programs for a leading pharmaceutical organization.\n
\nThis role will work within an international Project Management Office (PMO), partnering with cross-functional teams and senior leadership to drive project execution, improve operational efficiency, and support global business priorities.\n
Key Responsibilities
\n

\n
• Coordinate and execute global projects involving marketing, business transformation, strategic initiatives, and product launches.
\n
• Support PMO processes, governance, reporting, and project management best practices.
\n
• Collaborate with international teams across multiple functions, regions, and business units.
\n
• Track project milestones, deliverables, risks, resources, and overall progress.
\n
• Prepare project updates, executive presentations, and status reports for senior leadership.
\n
• Coordinate cross-functional meetings, workshops, and leadership sessions.
\n
• Identify potential roadblocks, facilitate communication, and help keep initiatives on schedule.
\n
• Support continuous improvement of PMO tools, workflows, and reporting processes.
\n

Required Qualifications
\n

\n
• Bachelor's degree required.
\n
• 5+ years of project management experience supporting cross-functional, matrixed, or global initiatives.
\n
• Experience managing strategic projects, business transformation programs, or product launches.
\n
• Knowledge of PMO methodologies, project tracking, governance, and reporting.
\n
• Strong written and verbal communication skills.
\n
• Ability to engage and influence stakeholders, including senior leadership.
\n
• Strong organizational skills with the ability to manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment.
\n

Preferred Qualifications
\n

\n
• Experience supporting global marketing or international commercial teams.
\n
• Pharmaceutical, biotechnology, or healthcare industry experience.
\n
• PMP or other project management certification.
\n
• Experience preparing executive-level project reports and presentations.
\n
