At Destine Prep, our Operations Team is a little like the Transformers .

We’re the people who make things happen behind the scenes. When breakfast needs to get out, a classroom needs a reset, supplies need to move, a space needs to be cleaned, or something unexpected pops up, Operations transforms and gets it done.

We are looking for a Per Diem Operations Associate who is ready to jump in wherever they are needed and help keep Destine Prep running smoothly.

This isn't a desk job. It's a roll-up-your-sleeves, pitch-in, make-it-happen kind of role.

What You'll Do

Food Service: Keep the Fuel Coming

Our scholars and staff need fuel to do great work, and you'll help make that happen.

• Support breakfast, lunch, and snack service as scheduled.
• Assist with basic food preparation, including portioning, packaging, and setup.
• Transport food, supplies, and equipment to classrooms and service areas.
• Assist with temperature checks and basic production logs under supervision.
• Clean and sanitize kitchen equipment, utensils, and service areas.
• Keep food storage areas organized, including labeling and dating items.
• Help organize inventory and restock supplies.
• Follow all food safety, sanitation, and school procedures.
• Provide additional meal service coverage during absences, busy periods, and special events.

Cleaning & Custodial Support: Keep Destine Looking Like Destine

Clean, safe, organized spaces don't happen by accident. They happen because someone takes ownership.

You will:

• Provide cleaning coverage during peak times, absences, and special events.
• Clean and sanitize assigned areas according to school standards.
• Support deep cleaning projects, including floor care, classroom resets, and seasonal cleaning.
• Help prepare spaces before and after school events and activities.
• Keep classrooms, common areas, and operational spaces clean, safe, and organized.
• Restock and organize cleaning and operational supplies.
• Follow all safety and chemical-handling procedures.

Operations: Be Ready for the Unexpected

The best Operations teams know that no two days are exactly alike.

You may also:

• Jump in to support changing operational needs.
• Help with setup and breakdown for school events.
• Move supplies, materials, and equipment where they need to go.
• Support inventory organization and restocking.
• Follow established systems, routines, and procedures.
• Work alongside the Operations team to keep the school moving.
• Perform other duties as assigned by the Director of Operations.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED required.
• Prior food service, cafeteria, cleaning, or custodial experience preferred.
• School-based experience is a plus, but not required.
• Ability to read, write, and communicate effectively in English.
• Willingness to complete required food safety and workplace safety training.
• Ability to follow clear instructions and established procedures.
• Strong attention to cleanliness, organization, and safety.

• Ability to stand and walk for extended periods.
• Ability to lift and carry up to 20 pounds.

• Ability to perform cleaning, sanitizing, food service, and other hands-on operational tasks.

The Schedule

This is a per diem, as-needed position . Hours and assignments will vary based on school needs, including employee absences, peak service periods, special events, and other operational needs.
