Lead Medical Assistant

Become a part of our caring community. The Lead Medical Assistant is the first point of contact for patient care, responsible for administrative and clinical duties. The Lead Medical Assistant assumes ownership and leads advanced and highly specialized administrative, operational, and customer support duties that require independent initiative and judgment. Clinical Duties Discuss symptoms and obtain vital signs Medication/vaccine administration Phlebotomy and specimen collection Perform diagnostic screening tests Sterilize and clean equipment Maintain examination rooms Document information into electronic medical records Collaborates closely with physicians and advanced practice providers. Delivers direct patient care as permitted by active certification. Oversees daily priorities for administrative work groups and external vendors, coordinates work activities, monitors progress toward schedules and goals, and often oversees the work of others. Responsibilities Lead advanced administrative and customer support duties Provide in‑depth education, training, and mentoring to other Medical Assistants Contribute to process improvement initiatives Serve as the primary administrative owner of key processes, programs, and technologies Required Qualifications Certified or Registered (MA) 1 Phlebotomy experience Medication/vaccine administration experience 3+ years MA experience High school diploma or equivalent CPR Certified Patient facing role; TB screening required Preferred Qualifications 1+ years MA experience in a primary care office (PCO) center Value Based Care experience (knowledge of HEDIS, CPT/ICD coding, and CAHPS/HOS Patient Experience) Bilingual proficiency in English and Spanish – must pass proficiency exam before foreign language communication Pay Range $48,300 – $65,900 per year (full time, 40 hours per week). This range may vary based on geographic location and individual qualifications.
