Accountant III

Our client is a long-established privately held organization with a diversified portfolio of commercial and residential assets. The company operates across property ownership, development, and management, supported by internal functions spanning property operations, construction, leasing, and finance. This role is responsible for supporting property-level accounting across a multi-asset portfolio and plays a key role in the monthly close process, financial reporting, reconciliations, and supporting schedules, while partnering closely with internal operational teams to ensure accuracy, timeliness, and consistency of financial data across all properties. Responsibilities Execute monthly close activities including journal entries, accruals, and preparation of property-level financial statements Prepare and maintain account reconciliations, supporting schedules, and variance analyses Support internal and external financial reporting requirements and related documentation Review work prepared by junior accounting staff and ensure accuracy and consistency Maintain and review lease-related accounting entries and abstracted lease data Prepare billing, recovery, and allocation schedules related to operating expenses Research and resolve accounting, reporting, and reconciliation issues with internal stakeholders Collaborate with property management and operational teams to address tenant and financial matters Assist with training and support of junior accounting staff Contribute to special projects and process improvement initiatives as needed Qualifications Bachelor’s degree in Accounting or Finance required 5–10 years of accounting experience, preferably in a multi-entity or asset-based environment CPA preferred but not required Strong understanding of accounting principles and month-end close processes Proficiency in Excel and familiarity with accounting systems preferred Strong analytical, organizational, and problem-solving skills Ability to work independently and manage multiple priorities in a deadline-driven environment Strong communication skills and ability to collaborate across teams Compensation & Benefits Annual salary of $115,000 - $130,000 per year Comprehensive benefits include PTO, 401K with matching, Health/Medical insurance including Dental and Vision, Bonus/Target Incentive, Tuition Reimbursement, In-house fitness Center, On-premise full service dining center discount, Pre-tax transportation options, Referral bonus, and more. #J-18808-Ljbffr Andrews & Cole
