You'll lead with purpose, breaking down barriers to innovation for a more connected, compassionate world.About the RoleMinimed is seeking a Sr. NPI Manufacturing Engineer that will be responsible for designing, developing, and optimizing manufacturing processes, production layouts, and equipment to improve efficiency, quality, and productivity. Collaborates with engineering teams to align product designs with manufacturing requirements, drives corrective actions for equipment and process issues, and ensures compliance with regulatory and quality standards. This role is onsite at our Northridge, CA office.Responsibilities may include the following and other duties may be assigned.Designs manufacturing processes, procedures and production layouts for assemblies, equipment installation, processing, machining and material handling.Designs arrangement of machines within plant facilities to ensure most efficient and productive layout.Designs sequence of operations and specifies procedures for the fabrication of tools and equipment and other functions that affect product performance.Adapts machine or equipment design to factory and production conditions.May incorporate inspection and test requirements into the production plan.Inspects performance of machinery, equipment, and tools to verify their efficiency, and investigates and initiates corrective action of problems and deficiencies to ensure product quality.Develops manufacturing processes that are applicable to statistical process control, and may develop those techniques.Provides guidance to engineering regarding design concepts and specification requirements to best utilize equipment and manufacturing techniques.Ensures processes and procedures are in compliance with regulations.Must Have: Minimum RequirementsTo be considered for this role, please ensure the minimum requirements are evident in your applicant profile.Requires a Bachelors degree and minimum of 4 years of relevant experience, or advanced degree with a minimum of 2 years relevant experience.Nice to Have:Prefer a degree in Manufacturing Engineering or Mechanical EngineeringPrevious manufacturing experience including equipment validation and installation, yield improvement.Able to manage multiple process validation going in parallel.Ability to plan and execute with speed and accuracyStatistical analysis knowledgeExperience with mechanical assembly equipment such as heat staking, adhesive dispense, electrical functional test equipmentPrevious PM experiencePrevious fixture design and deployment experienceTravel:Ability to travel 20% to 30% domestic and internationalPhysical Job RequirementsThe above statements are intended to describe the general nature and level of work being performed by employees assigned to this position, but they are not an exhaustive list of all the required responsibilities and skills of this position.The physical demands described within the Responsibilities section of this job description are representative of those that must be met by an employee to successfully perform the essential functions of this job. PR) locations (USD):$87,000.00 - $149,000.00For roles located in California, Seattle WA, Washington DC, Boston MA, and New York City, the salary range is $97,000-$165,000 USD.Actual compensation may vary based on factors including experience, education, certifications, skills, market conditions, internal equity, and geographic location.
