Spectrolab offers a break from the famously difficult Los Angeles commutes.Position Responsibilities:Provide sustaining process engineering support for production of solar cell wafers and solar cell assembliesMaintain process control using Statistical Process Control (SPC) tools, troubleshoot process anomalies, understand operation of process equipment, and provide timely response to manufacturing issues and needsInteract closely with teams within the larger Operations group to achieve organizational goalsIdentify and execute continuous improvement and breakthrough new product or process ideas to reduce process cycle time, reduce product cost, and improve product performanceSupport Research and Development (R&D) activities associated with advancing solar cell technologies and reducing the cost of the productsEmbrace and foster a working culture where safety is a top priorityAnticipate and drive innovative solutions to create valueAdopt an entrepreneurial mindset and take smart risksMaintain a productive sense of urgencyThis position is expected to be 100% onsite. The selected candidate will be required to work onsite at one of the listed location options.​Basic Qualifications (Required Skills/Experience):This position requires the ability to obtain a US Security Clearance for which the US Government requires US Citizenship. Bachelor of Science degree in Engineering, Computer Science, Mathematics, Physics, Chemistry or non-US equivalent qualifications directly related to the work statement2+ years of experience working with semiconductor processingPreferred Qualifications (Desired Skills/Experience):Experience in the semiconductor (III-V, II-VI, or Si) industryExperience in semiconductor processing, solar cell devices, material characterization and analytical techniquesExperience with photolithography, thin film (metal and dielectric materials) deposition techniques, wet and dry etch processes, and high temperature annealing processesExperience with gated approach to process and product development and Aerospace industry material and qualification requirementsExperience in programming with VBA, LabView, C, C+, C++, SQLKnowledge of statistical analysis, statistical process control, and lean principlesConflict of Interest:Successful candidates for this job must satisfy the Company's Conflict of Interest (COI) assessment process.Typical Education/Experience:Education/experience typically acquired through advanced technical education from an accredited course of study in engineering, engineering technology (includes manufacturing engineering technology), computer science, engineering data science, mathematics, physics or chemistry (e.g. Bachelor) and typically 5 or more years' related work experience or an equivalent combination of technical education and experience or non-US equivalent qualifications.
