Join Children's Habilitation Center....the most unique long-term care facility in the Midwest! Title: Nurse Manager Company: Children's Habilitation CenterWebsite: Commensurate with experience Classification: Full Time; ExemptReports to: Director of Nursing Supervisor Responsibilities: Nursing StaffLocation: 121 W. 154th Street, Harvey, IL Shift Options: 7:00 AM - 7 PM, Days/Nights Purpose: A Nurse Manager, or Nurse Supervisor, oversees a team of nurses as they provide healthcare services to patients and manage their records. Responsible for daily operations of the Nursing Department, including staff supervision, clinical oversight, and scheduling.Responsibilities:Promote and restore patients' health by developing day to day management and long-term planning of the patient's careDirect and develop nursing staff by creating schedules, offering advice, and answering any health-related questions Provide physical and psychological support for patients, as well as their friends and familiesMaintain the nursing guidelines by writing and updating policies and proceduresSupervises activities of RN's, LPNs, and Team AssistantsMaintain nursing staff by recruiting, selecting, orienting, and training nurses and auxiliary staffRound with Physicians and/or Nurse PractitionersCompleted patient care requirements by scheduling and assigning nursing and staffMaintains nursing staff by coaching, counseling, and discipling through monitoring and appraising nurses job performance Provide information to patients and the health care team by answering questions and requestsMaintain a safe and clean working environment by designing heath procedures and protocolsMaintain a cooperative relationship among health care teams by communicating information and participating in team-building exercisesParticipates in Individual Education Plan (IEP)Review Care Plans, Quarterly AssessmentsMonitor infection control proceduresMonitor the Immunization programAbide by CHC policies and proceduresEvaluate and recommend products and equipmentConduct pre-admission assessments, as needed Work with the Clerk to ensure adequate supply levels Participate in quality management processes Supervise the quality and content of the medical recordsEnsure the facility they work in is compliant with current lawsImprove the quality and efficiency of the level of care delivered to patientsSolve any problems patients might have at the facilityPerform other duties, as assigned QualificationsAssociate 's or bachelor's degree in nursing from an accredited college or universityMinimum of five years of supervisory/management experience in a medical facility Registered Nurse (RN) Illinois Benefits: Medical, Dental, Vision, Life, 401K, Tuition Reimbursement, Short- & Long-Term Disability, and other benefit options Children's Habilitation Center is proud to be an equal opportunity employer and drug free workplace.
