Base pay range $90,000.00/yr - $105,000.00/yr Job Description - Sr. Buyer, Supply Chain & Procurement Our client is seeking a strategic and detail-oriented Senior Supply Chain & Procurement Buyer to lead sourcing initiatives, manage supplier relationships, and optimize procurement processes. This role is critical to ensuring the timely and cost-effective acquisition of goods and services, supporting operational efficiency and organizational growth. Responsibilities - What you will do Develop and execute sourcing strategies to meet business objectives and ensure supply continuity. Identify, evaluate, and negotiate with suppliers to secure optimal terms, pricing, and quality. Manage supplier performance, including conducting regular reviews and resolving issues. Collaborate with cross-functional teams (e.g., Engineering, Operations, Finance) to align procurement activities with organizational goals. Monitor market trends and conduct cost analysis to identify opportunities for savings and risk mitigation. Ensure compliance with company policies, industry regulations, and ethical sourcing standards. Maintain accurate procurement records, contracts, and supplier documentation. Lead initiatives to improve procurement processes, systems, and tools. Support inventory management and demand planning to optimize stock levels. Prepare and present reports on procurement metrics, supplier performance, and cost savings. Qualifications - What you need Bachelor's degree in Supply Chain Management, Business Administration, Engineering, or related field. Minimum of 5 years of experience in procurement, sourcing, or supply chain management. Proven track record of successful supplier negotiations and cost savings. Strong analytical, organizational, and problem-solving skills. Experience of ERP/MRP (SAP experience is plus). Proficiency in procurement software (e.g., SAP, Oracle, Coupa) and Microsoft Office Suite; experience of VMI (Vendor Managed Inventory), JIT (Just In Time). Excellent communication and interpersonal skills. Ability to manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment. Knowledge of contract law, procurement best practices, and global sourcing. Professional certifications such as CPSM, CSCP, or PMP are a plus. Demonstrated ability to work harmoniously within a team and contribute to a positive, collaborative work culture. Bilingual skills is a plus. There is 10-30% overseas travel involved for collaboration with other suppliers. At the beginning of employment, there may be 3-6 months of being dispatched overseas (for part of the time) to learn.
