Senior Financial AnalystThe Senior Financial Analyst at PlainsCapital Bank applies advanced financial and analytical expertise to support business performance and strategic decision-making. This role works independently with minimal supervision, leading complex financial planning, reporting, forecasting, and analysis initiatives. The Senior Financial Analyst partners closely with finance and operational leadership to provide actionable insights, improve financial processes, and drive continuous improvement across the organization.ResponsibilitiesMonthly internal management reporting using Oracle PBCS (Planning and Budgeting Cloud Service) and SQL, ensuring the timely and accurate delivery of financial resultsProvide monthly regional financial reporting to Regional Presidents, delivering timely insights and exceptional customer service by responding to financial inquiries and supporting strategic decision-makingLead the annual budgeting partnering with business leaders to develop accurate financial plans aligned with organizational objectivesOwn and continuously enhance internal cost allocation models and transfer pricing methodologiesPerform complex financial analysis, identify trends, investigate variancesPrepare and present management level financial reporting, dashboards, and analyses to support key business decisionsIdentify, and implement process improvement and automation initiatives that enhance efficiency, accuracy, and scalabilityMaintain financial databases and models while ensuring data validation, reconciliation, and integrity across financial systemsMaintain and continuously improve Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs) for reporting, budgeting, and allocation processesApply analytical and critical thinking skills to solve complex business and operational challengesSafeguard confidential financial and business informationCoach and provide guidance to other analysts, interns, and finance rotational team membersPerform other duties and projects as assignedQualificationsMust be eligible to work in the U.S. without sponsorship now or in the futureBachelor's degree in Finance, Accounting, or a related field requiredAble to work on-site in our Dallas, TX officeThree to five years of progressive experience in FP&A, accounting, or a related finance functionAdvanced proficiency with Microsoft Excel and Microsoft Office applications requiredExperience with Oracle PBCS (Planning and Budgeting Cloud Service), SQL, and financial reporting tools strongly preferredDemonstrated ability to independently manage multiple priorities, analyze complex financial data, and communicate clearly to leadershipProven ability to build collaborative relationships and effectively partner with other teams and individualsStrong analytical, problem-solving and organizational skillsExperience leading projects, driving process improvements, and mentoring less experienced team members preferredAbout UsPlainsCapital Bank was founded in 1988 by a group of young bankers who dreamed of bringing relationship banking to their hometown of Lubbock, Texas.
