Incident Response Specialist

: Posting End Date: Work Place Flexibility: Hybrid Legal Entity: Entergy Services, LLC **Please note preference for these positions will be filled in Baton Rouge, LA, New Orleans, LA, or Jackson, MS, but consideration to filling in Little Rock, AR pending candidate's skills and experience.** JOB SUMMARY/PURPOSE Perform responsibilities to prepare Entergy for response and recovery of incidents that interrupt and/or exceed normal operations and to protect and recover Entergy's Critical Infrastructure and Key Resources. This includes:

• Collaborate with appropriate parties and develop and/or enhance incident response programs, processes, support materials etc. that are necessary for effective, efficient, and coordinated incident response.
• Prepare for assigned incident response role in the System Incident Command System framework and respond to incidents to perform the role during incidents, potentially with travel, minimal or no notice, and for extended periods.
• Develop subject matter expertise in areas of responsibility.
• Coordinate and conduct training of applicable internal and external parties in incident response programs, processes, etc. to prepare organizations and individuals to safely, accurately, timely and completely perform roles required for effective, efficient, and coordinated incident response.
• Perform tasks and activities that support Incident Response responsibilities or programs requirements.
• Develop and/or maintain applicable documentation of programs, processes, checklists, training materials and records, applicable incident response records etc., assigned project status, etc. to effectively manage and report responsible work.
• Perform special assigned tasks to support the Incident Response Department and the Company as directed.
• Perform primary and alternate incident/storm assignment roles.
• Provide support to the Incident Response organization.

JOB DUTIES/RESPONSIBILITIES

• Support the Incident Response organization in development and enhancement of incident response programs, incident response plans, tools/applications, data maintenance, status reporting, development of presentations, data analysis, response to surveys and requests for information such as incident/storm records, training and other activities as required to prepare for response to incidents affecting Entergy.
• Lead various projects, participate on work groups as required or directed by management.
• Communicate and collaborate with system wide, cross functional teams.
• Prepare for and perform key roles in response to system incidents including support of Entergy organizations during incident response.
• Job duties will normally be conducted in an office environment; however, field work may be required from time to time or during responses.
• Coordinate, gather and assemble Transmission & Distribution (T&D) storm contracts and contract data including supplier names, vendor numbers, contract numbers by operating company and business unit, rates, contract language (terms, conditions, requirements), Avetta status, etc. for access and effective use, reference in response to storm incidents.
• Coordinate with and support off system contractors, vendors, suppliers, Supply Chain, ACES and Transmission & Distribution organizations with storm contract requirements and use as needed.
• Support management of Distribution Line and Damage Assessment contracts and acquisition of off system Distribution Line contractors.
• Coordinate with other T&D organizations to ensure all are prepared with storm contracts for incident response, identify potential suppliers, ensure execution of contracts.
• Support data requirements and perform System Resource Manpower role in acquiring off system contractors and mutual assistance companies, communicating with responding, ensuring required information accurately and timely captured in applicable tracking system for incident response.

MINIMUM REQUIREMENTS Minimum education:

• Typically requires a college or university degree in related field or the equivalent work experience.

Minimum experience (Preferred):

• IR Specialist; 1+ year of experience

Minimum knowledge, skills and abilities:

• Ability to work safely and in compliance with requirements under all conditions.
• Ability to effectively organize, multi-task and manage projects. Self-directed with moderate to significant discretion for planning and execution.
• Ability to learn and translate knowledge of practices into well documented plans and procedures.
• Ability to effectively interact with teams and different levels of the organization.
• Ability to travel periodically, up to 25% of time, with overnight stay, to attend meetings, exercises, and industry conferences.
• Knowledgeable in use of computer applications and software such as Microsoft products (Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Outlook, and SharePoint).
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
