Description:
As a Periodontal Dental Assistant, you will play a crucial role in providing specialized care.
You will assist the periodontist with surgical and non-surgical procedures.
Maintaining sterilization protocols and educating patients on oral health and post-operative care are essential.
You will work in a fast-paced practice where attention to detail and compassion are key.
Your responsibilities will include preparing treatment rooms and sterilizing instruments for periodontal procedures.
You will assist the periodontist with surgical procedures such as scaling and root planning, crown lengthening, dental implant placement, and tissue grafting.
Ensuring accurate documentation and charting of patient records is your responsibility.
Educating patients on oral hygiene practices and post-operative care instructions is vital.
You will monitor inventory and maintain an adequate stock of instruments and supplies.
Ensuring proper infection control protocols and OSHA compliance will be part of your duties.
You will support front office staff with scheduling and patient communication as needed.
Fostering a collaborative and professional clinical environment is essential.
