Lead Electrical Technician

About This Organization Kennesaw State University Job Duties Responsible for all aspects of the installation, maintenance, inspection, operation and repair of the electrical systems for both campuses. Provides guidance, mentorship and technical expertise to a team of technicians. Coordinates and schedules team activities, ensuring projects are completed within specified timelines and budget constraints. Key Responsibilities Leads a team of electrical technicians including task and location assignments Inspects buildings, fixtures, machines and other structural and/or mechanical units; performs minor and preventative maintenance Assists other technicians on emergency and corrective maintenance Performs independent and high-level complex maintenance work including detection and correction of mechanical systems Performs minor installation or modification work on electrical and fire suppression systems Works on active electrical systems, energized and de-energized equipment in compliance with National Fire Protection Association (NFPA) safety standards Schedules in house contracting work for facilities operations projects and repairs Assumes duties and responsibilities during leadership absence Required Qualifications Educational Requirements High School diploma or equivalent Other Required Qualifications Current, valid and unrestricted driver’s license Current and valid Journeyman Electrical license or ten years experience in electrical construction service Required Experience Four (4) years related work experience with some supervisory experience Salary and Compensation The midpoint of the salary range is $34.90 per hour.
