Duro-Chrome Industries, Inc. is looking for a team player to fill the position of full time, First Shift – Metal Polisher .  The successful candidate will be responsible for processing orders according to customer’s specifications.  Other requirements:

• Work with various polishing machines and lathes.
• Measure and ensure critical features and dimensions are maintained using assigned gages; visually inspect product for defects.
• Participate in activities to increase personal skill level, overall departmental processes and product quality.
• Resolve day-to-day issues by working effectively with others.

The ideal candidate will have at least 1 year metal polishing experience, work independently as well as with others, and possess a professional demeanor and positive attitude.  Training can be provided onsite.

• High school graduate or GED.
• 1 + Years of Metal Polishing experience.
• Ability to use inspection equipment such as micrometers, drop indicators, etc.
• Ability to read and understand blueprints, including tolerance requirements.
• Basic shop math including addition, subtraction, multiplication, division, decimals and fractions.
• Ability to communicate, read, and write in English.
• Understanding of all assigned systems, machinery and equipment.
• Ability to manage time effectively, organize self and others, perform work accurately and detail orientation required.

• Ability to frequently lift, carry, otherwise move and position objects weighing up to 50 pounds.
• Ability to bend, stoop and crouch on a regular basis.
• Ability to stand for long periods of time and perform repetitive tasks.
• Ability to wear assigned PPE, including 8-hour use of N95 mask.
• Ability to work in shop environment with frequent exposure to loud noises and chemicals.

Candidate must be able to pass a Background Check and Pre-employment Physical.

Job Type: Full-time; First Shift 6:00 am to 2:30 pm

Salary: $18 per hour no experience, more based on experience.
