Content Manager @ Bessemer Venture Partners in San Francisco, CA

Our Marketing and Platform team drives impact through thought leadership and venture insights that shape the startup ecosystem. We’re seeking a Content Manager to expand our editorial efforts and scale our content programs across our owned channels. This role blends tech and VC research, journalism, and digital marketing, requiring strong campaign management and stakeholder coordination. The ideal candidate is a strategic content creator with a passion for technology and business-building, adept at producing compelling campaigns that help entrepreneurs and startups grow in a fast‑paced environment. This role reports to the Global Head of Content and is based in San Francisco or Redwood City, since most of the team is based in the Bay Area. (We will consider candidates in New York City but for rare cases.) We are a hybrid team and go to the office three days a week. We are a highly collaborative, excellence‑driven team that values creative thinking and new ideas. As part of the small but mighty Content team, you’ll work closely with investors and the broader marketing and platform team to develop and execute on engaging campaigns that resonate with founders and support our investors worldwide. Our investors span nine global offices and specialize in Artificial Intelligence, Cloud/SaaS, Healthcare, Fintech, Deep Tech, Cybersecurity, and more. Familiarity with Atlas, our portfolio, and the startup and VC ecosystem is preferred. This role will focus on, but won’t be limited to, the following focus areas: Producing integrated and deeply substantive thought leadership reports and campaigns, including end‑to‑end report production and distribution, while also executing on core, day‑to‑day content program and campaign needs Running point on ongoing content products, programs, and beats, which may include developing funding announcements and campaigns and leveraging our digital channels while ensuring timely alignment with the news cycle Be a creative and collaborative member on the Content team to move the needle on firm goals to expand the universe of Bessemer’s audience by developing compelling narratives and scalable content programs You’re a great candidate if: Have 5+ years experience in content strategy, editorial, or marketing, related to VC, SaaS or tech media Are an exceptional writer and editor skilled in crafting engaging, platform‑optimized content Possess a proven track record in leading multi‑channel campaigns on deadline with measurable impact while managing stakeholders and ensuring high‑quality execution Consider yourself a person with high integrity and strong EQ, especially when handling sensitive information Understand how to manage freelancers and external contributors to scale content production Have experience with Wordpress, Canva, Mailchimp, Descript, and AI tools, etc. and also strong visual instincts for slides, graphics, and multimedia storytelling Are curious, collaborative, proactive, with a commitment to intellectual honesty with bonus points for being a strategic and creative problem solver who is passionate about high‑impact content Your benefits Competitive based salary ($90K-$140K), bonus, and upside potential Comprehensive healthcare plans including medical, dental and vision benefits PTO and family leave Retirement plan Commuter benefits Bessemer Venture Partners is committed to creating a diverse and inclusive environment and is proud to be an equal opportunity employer.
