We at Kelly® Professional & Industrial have partnered with JLG in Shippensburg, PA.  We’re seeking  Material Support  workers at  JLG, an Oshkosh company  that manufactures mobile elevating work platforms, telehandlers, utility vehicles and accessories—that can be found all over the world .   You owe it to yourself to consider this great new opportunity.

Pay and shifts:

• Pay: $17.00-$19.65 + $1.75 shift differential
• Pay based on work experience
• 2nd shift is available!
• Overtime as required, typically Fridays and Saturdays

Material Support

 

SUMMARY

 

Individual will be mainly responsible for safe operation of material handling equipment such as forklift, stacker, and CombiLifts. Will also need to be able to learn and utilize the current inventory computer system, sort items according to destination and verify that all items match with the purchase order. 

 

ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES

 

1. Maintain inventory levels by identifying, labeling, stocking and recording materials and supplies.
2. Transport heavy material using a forklift both inside and outside of buildings.
3. Determine production requirements by obtaining work orders.
4. Verify items and quantities on packing slips and receive or ship as necessary.
5. Package materials and parts in various containers for safe shipment to internal and external customers.
6. Communicate with internal customers while responding to material requests
7. Develop bills of lading (loading) and delivery forms.
8. Locate materials and supplies by pulling and verifying materials and supplies listed on production orders. 
9. Cycle count inventory as requested by supervisor.
10. Learn and utilize current inventory computer system.
11. Sort items according to destination and verify all items match with the purchase order.
12. All other duties and responsibilities that are assigned. 

 

BASIC QUALIFICATIONS

 

1. Basic computer knowledge
2. Ability to successfully complete IMT forklift training
3. Ability to obtain and maintain a IMT forklift license
4. Ability to acquire and understand lean manufacturing concepts 

 

PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS

 

1. 6 month experience in a manufacturing industry 

 

CRITICAL PHYSICAL AND SAFETY REQUIREMENTS

 

1. Safety glasses and safety shoes required at all times. Respirator required when painting and during some paint prep activities. Ability to lift up to 50 pounds repetitively

1. On-the-job training.
