Senior Lead Architect - Onboarding

Salary: $61,000 - 101,000 per year Requirements:

• We require formal training or certification in architecture concepts, plus 5+ years of applied experience.
• We need hands-on experience delivering system design, application development, testing, and operational stability at enterprise scale.
• We expect advanced proficiency in one or more programming languages, along with deep expertise in software architecture, applications, and technical processes across disciplines such as cloud, artificial intelligence, machine learning, or mobile.
• We look for demonstrated experience using enterprise-authorized AI capabilities in architecture and engineering workflows, with strong validation habits and sensitivity to data handling.
• We need the ability to assess and integrate AI-enabled capabilities into enterprise-grade architectures while meeting resiliency, security, and auditability requirements.
• We expect the ability to solve design and functionality issues independently with minimal oversight.
• We need the ability to evaluate current and emerging technologies and recommend the best options for future-state architecture.
• We look for strong judgment and communication skills to influence technical direction across teams and present recommendations to senior stakeholders.
• Preferred experience includes a strategic mindset for shaping payments onboarding transformation, including digital onboarding, client self-service experiences, and partner integrations.
• Preferred experience includes a solid understanding of acquiring payments onboarding and complex client setup models, including integrators, franchise arrangements, and payment facilitators.
• Preferred experience includes a solid understanding of onboarding lifecycle stages, including Know Your Customer, credit assessment, risk evaluation, and compliance screening.
• Preferred experience includes designing scalable, API-first architectures that support complex multi-party payment ecosystems and partner connectivity.
• Preferred experience includes familiarity with identity and access management patterns in client onboarding and partner integration workflows.

• We represent a product family in technical governance forums and propose improvements to architecture governance practices across the organization.
• We provide regular technical guidance and direction to support the business, technical teams, contractors, and vendors.
• We use enterprise-authorized AI capabilities in the work environment to accelerate architecture analysis and decision-making, with human review and appropriate handling of sensitive data.
• We evaluate current and emerging technologies using established standards and frameworks, influencing peers and decision-makers to adopt leading-edge solutions where appropriate.
• We drive decisions that shape product design, application functionality, and technical operations and processes.
• We develop secure, high-quality production code and review and debug code written by others to maintain engineering excellence.
• We serve as a function-wide subject matter expert and contribute to the engineering community as an advocate for firmwide software development lifecycle frameworks and practices.
• We establish reuse-first, AI-enabled engineering patterns and governance across the software development lifecycle and toolchain, with traceability, auditability, resiliency, and security controls.
• We shape and influence the digital transformation strategy for payments onboarding, including client self-service experiences and partner integrations.
