Description

American Traveler is seeking a Registered Respiratory Therapist for a night shift position at a short-term acute care hospital, requiring Draeger vent experience and Level II trauma center background.

Details

• Short-term acute care hospital setting with 426 staffed beds and Level II Trauma Center designation
• Respiratory/Neuro Diagnostics-RRT unit
• NICU experience preferred but not required
• Night shift, 4x12 hours, 7:00 PM to 7:30 AM
• Every other weekend and holiday coverage as needed
• Will float between two campus locations as needed
• Expected to rotate through all hospital units including NICU and Pediatric units based on census and staffing needs
• Uses Epic for charting
• Uses Draeger ventilators

Requirements

• BLS and ACLS certification required
• CRT or RRT certification required
• State license required if applicable
• Minimum 2 years of experience required
• Minimum 1 year of Level III or IV NICU experience required
• Level II Trauma Center experience required
• Acute care experience required
• Teaching hospital experience required
• Travel experience required with no contracts under 13 weeks
• Draeger vent experience required
• Epic charting system experience required
• One professional reference required

Additional Information

• May be asked to orient students or new hires as needed
• Travelers must be prepared to participate in natural disaster or emergency response activities
• Flu vaccine required with no declinations accepted
• COVID vaccine and booster required with religious or medical exemptions only

• Local candidates not accepted if within 75 miles of hospital site
• Former staff must be separated for at least 2 years before returning as a traveler
