Little Falls Hospital is Hiring a Part-Time Laboratory Support Technician

The Laboratory Support Technician will work Per Diem Various Shift & Weekends, 7AM - 3:30PM or 3PM - 11PM and will perform prompt, courteous, diagnostic and support services.

The Laboratory Support Technician performs routine/urgent/STAT phlebotomy, electrocardiograms (EKG), and limited testing, verifying patients identity and labeling specimens and entry of proper patient information into the EKG machine following established protocols with 1 exception per year as measured by physician feedback, Cardiology Department review and managerial observation.

Routinely performs EKG and/or collects specimens that are of high-quality including blood culture specimens that have a contamination rate of <3%, collects the appropriate specimen(s) for the test(s) ordered, generating collections labels for inpatient draws to assure on time collection, 95 - 98% of the time as measured by supervisory review.

Education: High School diploma OR equivalent is required

Experience/Qualifications: Two years of pertinent experience is preferred
